Last week, during a time when I was feeling a bit out of sorts, I ventured to my favorite “getaway, ” Barnes & Noble. I proceeded straight to the New Age section, another favorite spot, and there your book was waiting…. what a gift! I have read many, many books on angels and connecting, listened to tapes, attended seminars, etc., but clearly yours was the easiest read — clear and concise, factual along with honest interpretations and stories of your life, as examples. I am forever grateful. I have told a number of my friends about it and I look forward to instituting your techniques as I journey on my path.

The Shell
One of a series, from my life in the Caribbean
While owning and running my combination small resort, dive shop and restaurant on the island of St. Croix in the U. S. Virgin Islands one of my signature guided dives was a night dive under the cruise ship pier in the town of Frederiksted.
I had quite the routine set up where I would pile all the necessary gear and three or four hotel guests into my “dive van” and head out for the 30 minute drive through the rain forest over to the pier. There I would proceed to pull out a custom made ladder I built to allow a safe exit when the time came. I wouldn’t think of taking away the pleasure of a ten foot jump in full gear to make our entries but getting out was another thing entirely unless we each had our own flying fish to assist us.
One night while making our way along one side of the pier I came upon an octopus sprawled out in the open intently engaged in some task so much that he/she allowed us to all sit down on the bottom nearby and watch in the wash of our dive lights. He soon finished his business and moved on to reveal a beautiful milk conch shell whos’ inhabitant he had just consumed for a meal. It was polished to a smooth glistening sheen from being continuously dragged along the bottom and was just perfect as it was.
I brought it home and knew right away what I wanted to do with it. It was going to be a gift but first it needed to sit on top of a stone wall (which I built myself) along the shoreline and get imbued with the energy of this most special spot on the planet that I had been blessed to be allowed to own for a while.
A few weeks later I put it into a pouch and mailed it off to my friends back home in New York, Psychic Joyce Keller and her husband Jack.
I had seen Joyce on the Phil Donahue show in the early 1980’s and, waited six months for a personal appointment that would change my life.
She told me that although I did not know myself how much of an advanced spiritual being I was she did and she was so overwhelmed she could hardly speak to me. Joyce went on to tell me that I had spent many, many lifetimes in the pursuit of Godliness and I had actually gotten so close to God that I had come back for one last time simply to get back in touch with what it means to be human.
In between the tears of recognition and feelings of embarrassment and humility I heard her tell me to follow my dream and make my dream of owning a Carribean resort come true. Joyce told me that this would ease the constant longing that I would feel for the rest of my life. She confirmed my life experience of always being successful but never without applying hard, hard work. This work and constant visualization meditations would have me in the Carribean within 5 years’ time.
Well, I guess Joyce liked the shell because she was to eventually bring it with her when appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show to demonstrate how an object can be used as a type of “psychic telephone”.
She just told me that now, some twenty years later that this shell holds a spot of special recognition in her home and I reminds her of myself and my wife and child along with my devotion to them and my unwillingness to ever give up my dreams.
Had I never met this amazing woman and had her share her other worldly gift with me I think I would have been in an insane asylum by now. That longing she spoke of has never, ever left me and her words have seen me through hurricanes, volcano eruptions, wildfires and more while following my dreams. To this day Joyce continues to help me reconcile this householder/husband identity that I have come here to live and the spiritual being that I will always be inside.
Joyce Keller (and that little octopus) have my enduring gratitude for as long as live, and beyond.

Hi Joyce,
I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for my reading. You were
right on target about my nature, and I do hope that the future details
really do happen that way. I am planning to return to school soon to
finish my Master’s degree in Psychology, and hope to work with children at
some point down the line (maybe after I move to NC! ;). Plus, music is an
absolutely necessary part of my daily life, and I have always had a deep
and (until now) unexplained love for Italy. I know that I will be doing
everything in my power to stay in the positive light, and allow my angels

The only thing that I am not clear on is my second question – if I will
find true love. Is the guy that I will be dating going to be my true love?

Dear Joyce, Thank you so much for the inspiring reading and we look
forward for the month of November. I have to be honest w/ you,you are so
right that our hardship has been 2 years now. My son Trent Anthony crossed
over to the other side 2 years ago when he was 20 y/o. We were on vacation
when it happened, it was so quick, we were on a resort in Phil. He scream
in the bathroom and when we open the door,he was gone.
They said he was bitten by a coral snake,i don’t know…still a nightmare
until now. After that everything changed,life stopped for us for a while.
we just hang on to GOD and yes,eventhough we are hard up,we are still
generous to church and to the poor.I do a lot of volunteer work to church
and become a eucharistic minister.Started reading any books about the
other side and that’s how i got your book 7 steps to heaven.

Hi Joyce,
Just got your book the other day, and, I feel I must share this with you.
I only read about 20 pages of your book and was inspired to try out some
of your suggestions. I was visiting the Cemetery ( my wife passed away 7
years ago) and I was sitting under a tree asking God to please let my Wife
send me a sign.
I sat there for 30 minutes and started to get up, when I saw one of the many
thousands of Monuments reflect the Sun’s Light in a way I have never seen
before, It was like this Monument was Luminous and was shining a
100,000 Watt Light out for all to see. I walked over to this monument
and there was nothing special about it, It was the same shape and
color as the 100 or so Monuments next to it. I wrote down the Inscription
and Didn’t understand the connection, if there was one.
It was 2 days latter when I looked at the words that I wrote down, and It
Suddenly jumped off the page! The man’s name was George and his
wife’s name was Jaqueline. The first Letter of his name was “G” and the
first letter of his wife was “J.” My wife’s name was Gloria Jane Shapiro,
and I always called her Gloria Jane. I wondered why of all the thousands
of Monuments there, This one Radiated!
I believe my Wife sent me the sign I was praying for, and I would never
have thought to ask for one, if not for your book. God bless you.
